is it just me?

“A man who is master of himself can end a sorrow as easily as he can invent a pleasure. I don't want to be at the mercy of my emotions. I want to use them, to enjoy them, and to dominate them.”
-Oscar Wilde

does anyone else ever feel like a recovering alcoholic at a cocktail party?

some days it feels like I'm am constantly fighting off temptation of some kind...
{shopping too much, eating too much... being lazy, being late, being careless}
it feels I spend so much of my time/energy trying not to give into impulses and feeling guilty when I don't do my best.

I'm with Oscar on this one, it's about time to figure out how to dominate.
one temptation at time

  1. I like the makeunder concept, that we naturally have the potential to hit the gym, be fiscally responsible, punctual, etc. All we have to do is makeunder our bad habits and let our greatness shine through.

    This is an awesome resource for inspiration on that front: http://makeundermylife.com/

  2. My dear sweet daughter, you are so NOT lazy! And you are not always late or careless! In this life, as Grammie used to say...the important thing is to keep trying... to do just a little better. There will be good days when you are spot on and days that are not as good. Be kind to yourself. Sometimes, just for a bit, we all need to be a little lazy, a little late and allow ourselves some Joe-Joe's!

thx a mill
